Field Crops - varieties
We choose varieties based on taste, adaptability to our climate, disease resistance, quality
and uniformity. To have a constant supply of vegetables for our farmstand we sow multiple
plantings and use early and late varieties. Many of the varieties we use in our fields are available
as transplants for sale in the spring. Our major vegetable seed sources are Johnny's,
Harris, Stokes, and Seedway.
