 Dear Info,
   Winter Market - Friday Jan. 22nd 3-6pm
       Snowy Greenhouses
A new coating of crunchy snow on the outside, but a warm, soft inside to the greenhouses means that we are starting to grow for Spring.  Along with tomato plants and pansies, this week finds us sowing ornamental grasses, Laurentia, thyme, catnip, Verbena bonariensis and more violas.

Sesame Semolina Sourdough
We had a few loaves left over from the Good Loaf last week, and they are now stored in the freezer.  We've frozen the artisan breads and loaves with excellent success in the past.  The taste and textures remain the same and it doesn't take long to defrost a loaf in time for dinner.  To defrost the bread, take it out of the plastic bag and wrap it in a cloth until it defrosts.  We suggest placing the defrosted loaves into a 300F oven for 5-10 minutes.  Or slice and toast individual pieces.  The moral of the story?       Feel free to stock up on Good Loaf artisan breads!

McNamara milk will be in the cooler along with fresh local eggs and Vt. cheeses.  And of course, Star Lake Beef.  Star Lake also has some delicious Pork cuts available here at the farm.  Also available will be Springledge Micro Greens, Red Barn Farm pies, local fresh eggs and cakes by Marcia the Cake Lady.  Check out the online shop for pictures and information.
         Hope to see you soon.

Farmer Greg made a trip to a teeming metropolis this past weekend...NYC.  For a special family gathering, we went to an uber-trendy restaurant in a re-furbished warehouse serving pan-Asian fare.
The dress code?  "Downtown chic, fun, hip".  You can imagine my anxiety as I went through my dresser .... which Carhartts to wear?
I went with the clean ones.

As always, please let me know of any questions.

Sincerely,

Greg Berger
